Coastal Motor Lodge is a four star Motel located five minutes North of Thames at the gateway of the magnificent Coromandel Peninsula.

Accommodation is set amongst beautiful lush grounds directly opposite the Hauraki Gulf and provides a range of quality accommodation including elevated sea view studio chalets, family room, access rooms and budget style cottages.

Coastal Motor Lodge has four accommodation options to choose from to suit couples, families and a range of budgets. There are:

  • six sea view studio chalets that sleep 2 adults
  • two sea view chalets that sleep up to 3 people
  • one 1 bedroom unit with sea views
  • two ground level access units
  • four larger kiwi batch style cottages.

We also cater to businesses who require a home away from home for valued employees.

Reception

Just up the stairs in the middle of the motel you will find our guest reception. We are open from 8am to 8pm each day to look after all your needs. 

Chalet Style Room with Balconies

Most of our units have balconies facing west towards the relaxing Firth of Thames. Enjoy and wine and relax as the sun sets across the water.

Tranquil Setting Along The Coast

Our large lawn and gardens are available for you to play and relax. Sit in the BBQ area or wander the grounds and nearby beach.

BBQ

We have a BBQ and outdoor eating area for our guests.There is no charge for the BBQ, but we ask that you clean up when you have finished.

Guest Laundry

A guest washing machine and dryer is available on site.

Sky Satellite TV

Sky 50+ channels including Sky Sport.We also Have MYSKY, live pause and record in every room

Great deal from Grabone. Reception very friendly and super helpful.
Rooms are a bit dated, but very comfortable and clean.
Eating places just down the road in Thames and close to town yet far enough out to feel remote.
Traffic noise to be expected due to proximity to main road, but not overly obtrusive.
